Yummy Easy Snack with Nutella

One of my favorite and easy snacks to make for the kids I found again on Pinterest--- Crescent rolls with Nutella and mini chocolate chips!  I use Great Value brand crescent rolls for this recipe with Nutella (of course) and Toll House mini-chocolate chips.  Here is what I do:

  • Roll out the crescent rolls and spread on the Nutella to your desired amount
  • Sprinkle a pinch of mini-chocolate chips
  • Roll up the rolls with the Nutella and Chips tucked in the middle of the roll
  • Bake as directed
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar if you wish, but also great as is

The kids and I love this light and easy snack!  They can also help with the rolling and sprinkling.  Enjoy this easy and cheap treat!  Would love to hear any thing you add to this simple recipe.  Always up for trying new things.

Cheap and Easy Chicken Stir-Fry

So my husband loves Asian dishes, however I feel like I have no clue how to make any good, quick and easy ones.  Because let's face it, after a long day I really do not like to make food that involves too many ingredients I am not familiar with.  With that being said I thought I would surprise Josh with a new Asian dish one night this week.  Being that we are on a pretty tight budget I took to Pintrest (like I do often) to find a easy recipe with simple ingredients.

Here we go!  I found a great recipe (listed below) and headed to the store.  I was able to purchase all the ingredients listed below from Walmart for  $10 (already had the soy sauce and spices on hand).  Last night was my first try with the recipe.

Here are my thoughts and added tips:
  • It was so easy to make!
  • Tip number one would be to add a small amount of the angel hair noddles at a time to chicken/broccoli/sauce.  I was not thinking and added all the noodles at one time.
  • We felt like it was missing something--- so next time I will add PINEAPPLE and CILANTRO
  • Last little thing to mention is that it is super yummy the next day too!  We love leftovers and enjoyable ones are an added bonus.
The recipe is listed below.  I hope those that try this dish enjoy.  I would also love to hear your thoughts, dislikes, etc.

Until next time!!

Where have I been??

I know that I do not have too many followers on here however I hope to start posting again.  Many of you may be wondering, where have I been?  In the past year I have had our third baby girl, sweet Lenora Naomi.  She is now eight months old and such a sweet little thing.  While pregnant with her (and caring for my son, Jude now 3 and Payton now 5 year old girl) I did not do too many art projects.  I have completed a few signs here and there and will post soon!

I am hoping to start posting not only art pieces but craft ideas and yummy recipes all incorporating how to save money.

Here is to a new year and fun being creative!
